Dieser Vorzeige-RINO hatte eine Gesetzesvorlage mit seinem Veto belegt, die vorsieht, daß CCW ohne lästige und irrationale Einschränkungen in ganz Ohio zulässig ist und die das Recht der Kommunen auf Sonderregelungen im Waffenrecht abschafft (z.B. die "assault weapon bans" in Großstädten wie Columbus und Kinkynati). Allerdings hatte der wackere Statthalter von Ohio nicht mit dem Ohio-Kongress gerechnet. Sowohl Abgeordnetenhaus UND State Senate wiesen das Veto mit satter Zweidrittelmehrheit zurück. Das bedeutet, daß auch viele DEM-Politiker FÜR dieses Gesetz gestimmt hatten. Tuesday, December 12, 2006 Both the Ohio State Senate and House of Representatives voted to override Governor Bob TaftÂ’s ® veto of House Bill 347. Thursday, December 7, the State House voted 71-21 to override Governor TaftÂ’s veto of this crucial piece of legislation. Today, the State Senate voted 21-12 to sustain the override, with three Democratic Senators voting in favor of the measure. This is the first time in twenty-nine years that the Ohio legislature has overturned a GovernorÂ’s veto. Championed by Representative Jim Aslanides (R-94), HB 347 will create statewide preemption ensuring that firearms laws are uniform throughout the state. Currently, 43 states have similar laws across the country. Passing statewide preemption eliminates problems for all gun owners who have been unduly burdened by local ordinances such as ColumbusÂ’ so-called “assault weapons ban.” In addition, this legislation will correct a number of problems that have surfaced during the past year for concealed carry permit holders. The most common complaint for license holders has been the “plain sight” requirement in a motor vehicle. HB 347 will eliminate this requirement. Das erste CCW Gesetz hat er auch erst abgelehnt und dann soviele Auflagen dem Gesetz zugefuehrt, dass es kaum legal moeglich war eine Waffe zu fuehren.
