Logische Konsequenz: nicht der Dösbaddel ist schuld, sondern die böse, böse Waffe und deren Hersteller. Was sonst?!? Witzig ist auch das angebliche Einsatzgebiet des Casull. Angeblich kann man damit erfolgreich auf Kaffernbüffel und Löwen pirschen. ICH würde mich nicht trauen, mit sowas auf einen Kaffernbüffel zu schießen. Robert Taylor, 51, purchased the Freedom Arms Model 83 .454 Casull revolver from One Stop Sportsmen Shop in July 1997. That business no longer sells firearms and is not involved in the lawsuit that is being heard this week. Taylor was wearing the revolver in a holster when he was visiting Wyoming in 2003, according to the complaint. The gun discharged as Taylor was pulling back the long duster he was wearing, the bullet ripping into his right leg in the back near the knee and exiting through his bone below the knee in the front of his leg. Taylor had to have his leg amputated from the wound, according to court records. "It snap fired," said Taylor's Wyoming attorney, Kent Spence, on Wednesday. According to testimony by a firearms and design expert Tom Butters, of Texas, the transfer bar in the revolver did not work correctly. Butters told jurors there was not a proper internal safety device in the revolver or it would not have been able to snap fire if the safety was on. Butters testified for several hours Wednesday showing videos and explaining slides to jurors. Butters is expected to continue his testimony today. The trial is scheduled for the rest of this week and next week. "We're here to get justice for Bobby," Spence said. But, John Renzulli, an attorney from New York representing Freedom Arms Inc. and company president, Bob Baker, said the revolver is "a well made, reliable single action revolver that is not defective." The gun is manufactured for hunting medium to large game, such as cape buffalo or lions, and serious silhouette competition. "This gun is very reliable with a durable safety," Renzulli said. "This particular incident occurred because Mr. Taylor did not learn the function of the gun or read the manual." Renzulli said he is confident the jury will find no reason to find a judgment for Taylor. "Freedom Arms promotes gun safety and encourages all firearm users to learn the function of whatever gun they purchase and to read the owners manual before using the gun," Renzulli said. Guest MarcDW Posted May 21, 2007 at 12:45 PM Share Posted May 21, 2007 at 12:45 PM Der Trottel wird wohl die Waffe mit gespannten Hahn gefuehrt haben und dann entweder (natuerlich ueber den wahren Unfallverlauf gelogen) die Waffe gezogen haben und dabei den Finger an den Abzug getan oder jemand hat an dem Abzug rumgespielt. Erst gestern war ich bei einem befreundeten Haendler, der mir einen 686 zeigte, den so ein "Spezialist" ueberarbeitet hatte! Im SA brauchte man nur leicht auf den Hammer zu druecken und er schlug ab ohne das man den Abzug ueberhaupt nahe gekommen waere! Ein entsprechender Waffengutachter sollte aber darueber entsprechend genaue Auskunft geben koennen. Auf jeden Fall hat die Waffe FA 100% funktionstuechtig verlassen! Die Hilft allerdings wie bei allen anderen Waffen nix wenn man den Abzug durchzieht. Denn ich vermute einfach mal, dass der Trottel die Waffe entspannt hat, abgerutscht ist und sich dabei ins Bein geballert hat oder er hat entgegen des Warnung des Handbuchs die Waffe mit einer Patrone hinterm Schlabo bei total entspanntem Hahn geführt. Des Schlabo drückt in der dieser Position permanent auf das ZH, wenn der Hahn dann einen Schlag von hinten bekommen kann die Patrone zünden. So ein FA ist auf Grund seiner hohen Leistung ne gefährliche Waffe, wer da nicht aufpasst kann sich richtig übel wehtun. Mit nem .454 FA sind im Auftrag von FA schon die Big Five bejagt worden. FA hat einen bekannten Kurzwaffensportschützen(sein Name fällt mir im Moment nicht ein) nach Afrika zu Jagd geschickt. Auf der Homepage sind auch zahlreiche Fotos von Jägern mit großer Beute. Das glaube ich gerne......über die Angeschoßenen redet man nicht :? und leidende Tiere sind ja bekantlich geduldig....da nicht sprechend :x Mit so einem Spielzeug auf die Großwild-Jagd zu gehen ist Tierquällerei, da könnte man genauso gut auf Rehe mit der .22LfB schießen ....kämme vom Vergleich her hin......und würde auch irgendwie gehen :x Gruß Hunter Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ich kann mir auch gut vorstellen, dass bei diesen Aktionen mindestens ein Schütze mit ner .458 Win Mag u.ä. als Backup nebendran gestanden hat.
